Enhancing Your Wellness
and Quality of Life
“Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.WHO Definition
As primary care doctors, we provide Naturopathic Health Care to the entire family. Our medical care goes beyond just using “natural treatments” – rather than drugs- to treat disease. While its true that we do use safe, effective, non-toxic modalities of healing, our treatments focus on healing the body versus simply suppressing the symptoms. To properly identify your imbalances, we use physical diagnostics and state of the art laboratory tests that can tell us how your body utilizes nutrients, what deficiencies you may have, what toxins may be affecting you and/or identify hormonal imbalances.
Our philosophy is that disease is alleviated by restoring health and correcting the underlying imbalance. The main modalities of treatment consist mostly of diet, nutrition, botanical medicines, homeopathics, hormonal and lifestyle/ environmental interventions.
For more information, go to How We Work.
We specialize in individualized care, addressing both routine health care and difficult-to-treat chronic conditions.
The two pillars of our approach are:
- Individualized Diagnosis
- Individualized Treatment
Diagnosis
The first step towards Health recovery and optimization is to know what the source of your condition is. Naturopathic diagnosis goes beyond ordinary diagnosis - it is not only done to ascertain the name of a disease, but to discover the organic and functional weaknesses that brought about the development of the condition. The first step for proper diagnosis is an in-depth interview in which we spend 60-90 minutes with our first time patients (see “First Visit” Form).
During the first interview, we also pay attention to a variety of signs such as pulse and tongue, specific ways of looking at the body shape, nails, face, abdomen, feet, skin and connective tissues. Each technique is particularly suited to a specific patient and condition.
When necessary, we may recommend tests in the realm of functional diagnosis to ascertain individual biochemical imbalances. For more on this, see Diagnostic Tests.

Botanical Medicines
Today’s research has demonstrated the medicinal powers of many common plants. The use of herbs is both as science and an art. An herb generally works on the body in one of three ways: it can purge the body of impurities, it can build up the immune system, or it can strengthen the constitution of an organ so it will function at optimal efficiency. Individual herbs can accomplish one or more of these functions, and specific herbs are used for specific ailments although there is often more than one herb which can aid in the treating of an ailment.
Our Doctors create individualized formulas to address your individual health needs.
While many herbs can be safely taken in conjunction with prescribed medications, others may not. Naturopathic physicians are highly trained in both the use of pharmaceuticals and herbal medicines, so it is safe to say we are experts in attending to the interactions of medicines and herbs and will provide expert guidance to increase effectiveness and avoid side effects.
Physical Medicine
We use many physical medicine modalities, mainly in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation, but also as part of an integrated approach to the treatment of the full spectrum of health problems.
